Introduction
The Medford Collection features a modular side table and box stool set of humble origin and construction. Its namesake is a tribute to the furniture store my Granddad owned and operated in Medford, Oregon.
Design
Material, construction, and proportion define the overall form of the side table and stool, as well as the whole collection. From the individual blocks to the assembled panels, the pieces come together to create a cohesive and modest set.
Materials
The Medford Box Stool is the first in the series, and is made from commercial-grade Douglas-fir 2x4's.
As a complimentary piece, the Medford Table is constructed from Clear Vertical Grain Douglas-fir and expands upon the proportions and materials found in the Medford Stool.
